What to do in third trimester?






Third trimester consist of week 29 until delivery.  In the third trimester you have to prepare for your baby welcome.

In this trimester a very emotional bond creates with baby. In last trimester mothers eagerly waiting for the delivery of baby.  Baby moves in the womb of mother and changes positions and kick your tummy.

In this trimester baby respond to the outer world like they respond to the light, sounds coming from mother and others.


At 8th month baby's weight will about 1.5 to 2kgs and all bones are becoming hard and strong in this period. Only head bone remains soft so it easily pass through birth canal.

In the last 9th month the weight of baby grows fast. Nearly 3 to 4Kgs or may vary on diet of mother so take good and healthy diet for a healthy diet.

Baby changes its positions in the mother womb and move towards pelvic. If the position at the pelvic is like head downwards then it is easy for normal delivery. However position of baby is like legs downwards birth canal it is called breech position and chances of normal delivery is vey low. If you are in your first pregnancy then in breech condition doctor will not advice you for normal delivery it may be dangerous for baby. If you are multigravida then doctor may advice you for normal or vaginal delivery.

In the last month of pregnancy lungs of baby develop. and baby's personality and memory will set in its memory. So be happy as it will affect to your baby's memory. Behave well in your last trimester it will set in your baby's memory. your baby in last month will start to listen and respond to you. Eat healthy and good as it also affect the baby taste after baby comes in the world. Baby starts to taste the food you consume in the last month.

Due to the growth of baby and womb from 28th to 32 weeks the distance of diaphragm muscles (distance between chest and abdomen) of mother decrease so mother has to face some problem in breathing. And fells pain in her back and pelvic.

Because of hormonal changes pigmentation may appear on face and other parts of body. Stretch marks also seems on womb and thighs so regularly use lotions or oil for it.

Do some household chores by yourself for good blood circulation. You may feel exhausted due to work but take some rest and some meal and be hydrated. Also pack your maternity bag in last trimester you may need it anytime so be prepared for it. I will tell the details in next article.
