Pregnancy brings with it many hopes and dreams, but it is also a bitter fact that one in five pregnancies end in miscarriage. Experts say that about 50 percent of women can recognize the early signs of miscarriage and adopt the right medical advice to complete their time and give birth to a healthy child. 



Most miscarriages occur during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy, so this is the time to take the most precautions.









What is the meaning of Miscarriage? 



Abortion or loss of the fetus (foetus) in the womb for some reason is called miscarriage. About 15% to 18% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. In some circumstances, the woman is unknown from her pregnancy and she gets miscarried after the missed periods.


Miscarriage mostly happens in the first trimester of pregnancy. So pregnant woman should take extra care for her pregnancy in the first few weeks.
After the first trimester the risk of miscarriage will decrease.


Types of miscarriage:



There are mainly six types of miscarriage present according to which doctors prescribe medication and treatment. They are classified by the reasons due to which miscarriage happens.  Types of miscarriage are:

  • Complete miscarriage.
  • Incomplete miscarriage. 
  • Missed miscarriage.
  • Threatened miscarriage.
  • Inevitable miscarriage.
  • Septic miscarriage.




What are the causes of miscarriage:



Most miscarriages in the first trimester are due to abnormal development of the fetus - the problem of fetal chromosome. About 50 percent are associated with miscarriages or missing chromosomes. 

Some symptoms of miscarriage are:
  • Vaginal bleeding
  • Abdominal or lower back pain or cramps
  • Flueid discharge from vagina
  • Tissue discharge from vagina
  • Not experiencing symptoms of pregnancy, such as feeling sick, nausea, breast tenderness, etc.
  • Lifestyle
  • Uterine problem





Vaginal bleeding: 



Bleeding is common during pregnancy or early pregnancy. But when stomach cramps are accompained by excessive bleeding, it is a symptom of miscarriage. 


In such a situation, you should contact your gynacologist withour panic but without loosing time.


Experts say that most miscarriages are due to chromosomal or genetic disturbances in the fetus. They cannot be stopped. Miscarriage is a mental and physical setback, but even after this, one should not give up hope. 


In most cases normal deliveries occur even after abortion.


Is vaginal bleeding an indicator of miscarriage in the first trimester?



It is common to experience vaginal bleeding in the first trimester of pregnancy, but it can also be a sign of miscarriage. It is important that you consult your gynecologist. Ignoring such a sign can be harmful for you and your unborn baby. 



Stomach cramps or Abdominal pain: 



By the way, during pregnancy, there is mild abdominal pain and cramps. It can also be caused by indigestion or your growing uterus.


The difference is that the spasms of miscarriage are much mre than this. Bleeding also occurs simultaneously. 



Lifestyle: 



Waking up late at night, smoking, dringking alcohol, and itoxication can cause miscarrigae. Therefore women should improve their lifestyle and take special care of diet during this period. 


Pregnant woman should limit the drink of caffein. Avoid foods which are harmful for the pregnancy. 


Take atleast 8 hours sleep and be relax don't panic or take tension.


Uterine problems: 



Uterine problem may also increase the chances of  miscarriage if there are osme abnormalities of the uterus. If any type of infection occurs during pregnancy, it can lead to miscarriage.


These include listeriosis and toxoplasmosis. Sexually transmitted infections such as further chalmydia, or further polucustic ovary defects that affect your hormones.
